Purpose of the Board of Governors
- To act as the Neptune Park Association’s governing body, calling and warning meetings, enforcing bylaws, rules, and regulations, and appointing officers such as the chairman, treasurer, clerk, and assistant treasurer.
- To prepare and post the annual budget and proposed tax rate, appoint a tax collector, and oversee the collection, abatement, and legal enforcement of association taxes and assessments.
- To protect health, safety, and property within the association limits by hiring police/watchmen and sanitation workers, abating nuisances, enforcing certain city zoning and health ordinances, and taking legal action when buildings, uses, or conduct violate zoning, deeds, or association rules.
